I want to include Rod Stewart too. I don't care for many of his songs, but his voice is great.

No particular order.....

Ray Charles and yes even before the movie "Ray" came out.

Al Green - Let's stay together.

James Hetfield, what can I say I'm a metalhead.

Greg Allman, Whipping Post, need I say more?

Brent Smith of Shinedown. If you haven't heard him/them check out this link of a live performance. In this age of studio produced music it's great to hear an actual band that can play and sing well live.

Lol. I thought this thread was imminent...

Mine are:

Chad Kroeger (of Nickelback)
Matt Monroe (Sadly under-rated but a real legend)
Freddy Mercury (Although the rest of Queen deserve equal praise)
Elton John (Loved his voice since I first watched the Lion King)
Chris Cornell (In my range so I can sing along :biggrin1:)

(If i had another vote it would go to Take That [post 2005] I like their new stuff alot, but I hate the old...)

...and in 5th place I leave a blank, since there are too many to list and I'd feel wrong honoring only one of them.

I always like Journey for there singer Steve Perry, I liked Ronnie James Dio and Don Dokken, Even though he has a lousy voice Ozzy Ozborn for his excellant Rock genre, and maybe Elton John.

Luther Vandross - A House is Not A Home
Stevie Wonder - Overjoyed
Ray Charles - Georgia on my Mind
Marvin Gaye - Got to Give It Up
Michael Jackson - Remember the Time (so man others too)

These are my favorite guys that I could listen to anytime, whatever they're singing...I don't care. RIP Luther, Ray, & Marvin. You will never be forgotten!
