This thread is full of good reading and information. So I'll share my two cents:
- The first one happened in Los Angeles it was during my late teens, I stayed in a (run down) hostel in front of the Chinese theater. It was nice for partying and meet other people but definitely no very comfortable. I shared a room (4 beds) with an Australian guy in his late 40s, he was trying to fix a work visa or something like that. The second night while we were talking about our day and plans, I start undressing to hit the showers, I didn't think it was a big deal so I got naked and he just say "whoa i saw your penis!", I found it funny but say sorry, after that he just laughed it off and say he lived with his two sons so it wasn't a big deal, after that every night before and after we used the shower it was nudity all over the room. He left before me but he was a good dorm mate.
-The second one was a couple of months after in New York City (I love that city) I stayed in the YMCA hostel, once again a little bit run down but a great and cheap location! beside the guests could use the gym, pool and whatnot. The locker room area of the gym got open showers and sauna so a lot of new yorker and foreign nudity there (im kind of a exhibitionist), each floor had its bath with two showers and stalls and curtains, so no question I'd be using the locker room area. I met a Spanish guy in the lobby he was a guest too, so we became our travel buddies. I told him that every morning I liked to go to the gym and shower there, so we exercise together and then sauna and shower together. It was nice to have a new friend and almost exactly after see each other naked. Around the fourth day while drying ourselves up, he just start to stare my groin and said "I should trim my bush and wax my balls" and I answered him "yes, so you can find it once in a while", the guy had a full bush down there, we laughed and keep with the day. A good trip and a great friend I found that time.
