Youth Hostels with Communal Showers

The Kickass hostel here in Edinburgh has communal showers on one floor. They were empty nearly every day because people preferred to use the individual shower pods on other floors.

On the last morning one other guy was getting dressed but he lingered while I showered. We chatted a bit afterwards while I dried off.

Could you tell me if it was the Grassmarket or the Greyfriars location? I'm looking to go here next spring

Stayed here in a mixed dorm and it was private cubicle showers in the room as well as cubicle toilets.

It doesn't have to be a hostel with an open shower. Hostels with male dorms or just a cruisy vibe are also welcome

The YMCA in Downtown Dallas is closing at the end of this month, unfortunately. This place has 2 sets of male-only open showers, a steam room, and sauna. Really enjoyed going here for the past few years.

Is there anything else like it in the area? Any other YMCAs with open showers still in the US?
