This is not just the US I'm talking about here, the UK is little or no better, they just operate on a smaller scale. Although largely a situation it it's own making I do understand US policy on such interventions - it's damned if it does and damned if if it doesn't. In such cases it may as well only do so when there's a vital interest at stake.
Yeah, U.K. is in a similar predicament. Maybe smaller scale but you also have the ghost of the Empire in the shadows.

Yes, and it's especially relevant in Zimbabwe. A fact bookworm just loves to remind us of whenever he can. The thing is, in some respects he's right and the essence of his land reform policy is justifed, back in the days of it's conception at least.

The UK could never intervene militarily in Zimbabwe.
