I've never done it, but some good all around tips for you, especially if you make your own site. Before you do any of this, I suggest you do a thorough cleaning of your online past so to speak. Forums, profiles on websites, etc. You want to get rid of as much as your personal information as you possibly can. You don't want them to know where you live, etc. If you have myspace, facebook, I'd just delete them honestly. Not only would having them be redundant, since they kind of facilitate having your own homepage, but without actually making yourself etc, but they are just a font of personal info, even if you don't put much up. If you do want to keep those, again, wipe all the info you can. I wouldn't put real friends on your list either, just stick having a 'friend collection' of your viewers. That is what I mean by "even if you don't put much up", if your friend has a picture of you and him together, and your friend has their location in their profile, that is more info on you. You'd be surprised at how good some people are at finding people's facebook pages through pictures too. Oh, and for pictures you take, make sure you disable geo tagging in all of your cameras.
