Hey guys, so I’m uncut and don’t know what to do. I’ve got a pretty small penis (2.5” / 5” see attached), full foreskin coverage flaccid and some erect, and a whole range of issues with it. I’ve been rejected in some sexual encounters because of the appearance, and have had some hygiene and performance issues tied to it too.

First, my penis being small looks like more foreskin than anything. This has been not so well received by some partners as it’s kind of ugly according to them. Also because there is so much skin and wrinkles, there is often a smegma build up after a day and if nothing else it smells musky. When my penis is touched by a partner there is lots of precum and it’s very sensitive. I rarely last more than a few minutes as the glans is just crazy sensitive. The glans itself has an increasing amount of PPP that seem to have multiplied over the last year too.

So basically I’m wondering if I should just get circumcised to relieve these issues. I don’t have anything against being uncut - but it’s just these issues keep getting worse and I don’t know what to do. Feel free to look in my profile to see my penis, I appreciate any thoughts…

Have you spoken to a doctor to see if circumcision will resolve your issues? A doctor would be able to give you some perspective. I'm also uncut. From a hygiene perspective I always make sure I'm showered before a sexual encounter. If the encounter is unplanned, I excuse myself to shower beforehand if I am at home or ask to shower if I am at another person's home. You can also suggest to your partner you start off in the shower and then move to the bedroom. Also, and please don't take this the wrong way, it looks like you are overweight so you may alleviate some of the issues if you tried to lose a few pounds. At the very least, you might lose some of the fat in your groin area which will make your penis look larger.

My doctor recommended circumcision, however he’s recommended it forever and I don’t know that it’s because of my issues. That being said, I went to a urologist too who suggested the same and said all my issues were tied to foreskin coverage and associated sensitivity and moist environment. He says if I get cut the issues should be resolved.

I don’t know that I really want to go to that extreme, but the issues are quite severe and seem to be increasing. I was daily, but since my foreskin is always covering the head and there are lots of wrinkles, smegma accumulates some days. I’m just looking to see if other options exist.

I would go with what the Dr said. If you think you are too old for circumcision. Think about the years you still have ahead of you.

I'd just like to say that you have a very nice penis. Also please don't feel pressured by anyone to get circumcised. It's not a magic solution. If you're feeling pressured by your Dr then see a specialist and carefully consider their advice.

I was circumcised later in life. I had really bad phimosis and there really was very little alternative for me. It may be much different for you.

Aesthetically I was very pleased with the result. It was the first time I'd seen the whole of my glans. However I did lose quite a bit of sensitivity and now it takes me a long time to cum when I masturbate. For that reason I miss my foreskin.

Doctors in your part of the country tend to be pro-circumcision. As a poster above advised, and with all due respect, perhaps shedding a few pounds might help. Your dick looks perfectly healthy. A circumcision could possibly complicate your issues.
This is by far the best and most accurate answer. The reason that your GP would make such a statement tells me that he is unfamiliar with an intact anatomy.
First of all: I am actually a staff member of a university hospital.

- your initial post does not indicate any particular issues with your penis per se, or your prepuce, specifically. What I do think is that you are not aware how to care for your penis. (Please note that these rules apply to EVERY penis, intact or not)
1) you should wash it daily, and given your weight, maybe twice daily, by pulling back the prepuce and washing your penis under running luke-warm water. Do NOT use scented products, do NOT use petrochemically derived detergents: the penis is actually quite clean and water + a clean hand suffice.
- If you feel the need to use a soap, use an unscented, natural soap (eg La Savonnerie Marius Fabre, I highly recommend their products for the entire body).
2) after washing, rinse to remove all traces of soap (if used), and gently blot the penis dry. Then, slide the prepuce back
3) it is advisable for every man to stay naked for a while after showering to ensure that the body is fully dry.

- the sensitivity can be solved by daily blotting the glans with cooled, well-steeped, UNFLAVOURED black tea. Earl grey is NOT unflavoured, and rooibos is not tea. The only ingredient should read: black tea. Using cotton wool, moisten the glans, let the tea dry, and place the prepuce back in its natural position

- @a720 was being very kind but I am going to be a bit more forward: you could stand to lose a *lot* of weight. Based on what I have seen, 20 lbs or more (this is an extremely conservative estimate). Not only will it reduce the overall muskiness you mentioned, you can also gain considerable lenght. My estimate is that your pubic fat pad is at least 2 inches thick (which means that you could gain 2 inches in functional length)

- you probably wear a tight undergarment. Keeping my personal opinion on the matter apart: if you *must* wear undergarments, nearly all men benefit from so-called ‘loose’ boxers instead of those stretchy things everyone wears (and look good on practically no-one)

I got cut right before college, and never regretted it. Made open showers more fun, skinny dipping, urinal fun, and the occasional zulu. I didn't want to be the different one. Sure, it was a bit painful, but not bearable, i was bandaged for a few weeks, stitches dissolved nicely. Then done. I was afraid to jerk off for a while, took it slow, and then no issues at all. I'm still very sensitive to this day. But I really enjoy playing without being self conscience about it. I'd say go for it. The process has advanced since 1991. :) To each his own I guess. I still love an uncut Latio man.

I got cut eleven years ago. So gld I got to experience both (and I think everyone should) but would never want to go back to uncut. But each to their own.

Many men on LPSG who have been circumcised as an adult say there is no change in sensitivity after healing from a circumcision. Many men say that there is a quick loss of sensitivity after the healing process. Some men say they last much longer during sex and others say they last just the same and others say they ejaculate much quicker. Circumcision does not stop the making of smegma as the glands that make it are not removed. It just gets wiped on your clothes. Keeping Dick clean is up to you. A foreskin protects your glans from dirt, lint and abrasions. It also can keep you from getting off too quick while inside someone by slowing down and pull back a little until the head is staying inside your foreskin until the urge is passed. Remove it and that protection is gone. The meatus of your penis can grow closed from rubbing on your underwear and require further surgery. Circumcision does not protect you from STDs.

You say you are too sensitive and cum quickly. When you masterbate do you race to get off or do you take your time? Do you use a dry hand or lubed? How long does it take you to get off with your hand? You may just need some re-training.

You have a handsome dick. Stand naked in front of a mirror. Take a good look at yourself. Look at your dick and imagine it cut. Ask yourself are you a "Cut man" or an "Uncut man". If you do not see yourself as a "Cut man", then do what you need to do. Get cut. If not, then do not. Be true to yourself. It does not matter what others think.

I never have been turned down for sex because I am uncut. I have because of the size of my dick. Girls really do like to play with my foreskin and are mesmerized by its moving up and down. They say they love the way it feels inside of them. I keep myself clean. As for smegma, I have not seen any in years, even after being sick and not bathe for a week. Eat good food and not a lot of greasy food. Diet might help with that.

Good luck and make the right decision for yourself.

Get it done you wont regret it. I was cut at 28, and I generally consider it one of the best decisions I ever made. Didnt even have any real problems that needed ro be fixed, i just preferred the look. And it turns it out feels much better without the skin in the way all the time

This response is a prime example of a egocentric, as well as a confirmation bias. The latter is particularly strong in this group of people

You clearly dont understand what confirmation bias is. Me sharing my experience isnt “confirmation bias”, its an anecdote.

And you sitting here trying to put down anyone that disagrees with your opinion is the definition of egocentric. Get it in your head that people can have different experiences from what you think they should have you arrogant twat.
