Great answer. I think if you like a band and you believe in them, get to know who they are (or seem to be) as people, then you feel proud if they grow, do well, succeed at anything, win anything. I don't know why we feel that way, I never analyzed it. But if you feel it, you feel it.

I like the songs from CALM so far but, being honest, I'm not sure I like them as much as Youngblood or Sounds Good Feels Good. And maybe they sound more autotuned/overproduced than before. Or is it me? (It's ok if you tell me it's just me.)

CALM seems to be something of a happy medium between the "black skinny jeans and teen angst" of SGFG and the smooth, polished, Mendes-esque sound of Youngblood.

Maybe - that's a cool way to look at it. I think Teeth is sort of a new direction, though, more edgy-sounding.

i think CALM sounds more mature and retro than youngblood, and there won't be as many songs about heartbreak/breakups lol but i guess i'll have to form a better opinion when the rest of the songs come out

Yeah it does sound mature as well as more retro. True about heartbreak songs though I liked them.

I like hearing the raw voices on Lie To Me and Ghost Of You and older songs like She's Kinda Hot. They sound enhanced more on this one. Anyhow I got the physical CD today, it comes with getting concert tix. Concert is in Sept., not sure it'll be happening.

IT IS SO GOOD. The first song, Red Desert, is so great, I hope it will be a single. After that it's all the amazing songs. The ones at the end aren't famous I have to listen more to them.
