lets face it, sexual powess is an important part of relationships succeeding. All men want thier sons relationships with women to be successful. There is no better teacher, than real world experience. Do you think it would be wrong, if you had a teenage son, to hire a woman, not necessarily an escort, for him to practice on, and give him advice?

It's better to just let him learn on his own, just like it has been for the last thousands of years.
Sometimes parents interfere too much with the natural process.

Teaching doesn't always require showing. You can tell your teenage son how to conduct himself when the presence of a woman. You can teach him things like chivalry, kindness, when to be gentle and when to be tough. But sexuality, outside the questions he directly asks you about, will need to be learned on his own.

This is actually a long standing tradition in a surprisingly large number of families. I've heard about this sort of thing, my entire life.

Hmmm. I have to think about this one. For me the joy of discovery on my own was a wonderful part of gaining maturity.
If my father had hired a woman to show me the way, it might have been either intimidating or wonderful - I'm just not sure.
I guess, based on my experience, I think it's better to find out on your own at your own pace.

Good point.
Other than that, if my dad had tried to set me up like that I think I would've been grossed out and run in the other direction.
Once he tried to fix me up on a 'vanilla' date and the poor girl never had a chance. My dad and I had a fairly ODD relationship.

i'm amazed that any guy could get to that age, parent of an 18y/o, and still think that you just learn the right moves and women will be impressed. actually, the worst sex is often had with the guys who've learned what works on one woman, decided they must now be a sex god, and apply the same moves to every woman they meet from then on.

Having raised boys, I worked hard to instill in them that sex and relationships go together. While I'm pretty sure that they don't always have a relationship with every woman they have sex with, I am pretty sure that they have been really happy in relationships they have had.
Sexually speaking, I raised them to be good communicators, and sexuality was an open topic in our home. Hopefully, they communicate with their partners about sex and have great sex.
