Jump in the time machine then. I actually used to do that. The career has a typical life span for men aged 18 to 25!
Yeah for high fashion (runway and editorial) it's shifted to a range of between 16 and 23 (though there are some exceptions).
The older models move into more commercial work, more lucrative but less high-profile, which is an unusual inversion of what one might expect.

I'm sorry!... but seriously you have no idea what a drama it was for me at the age of 27 having someone tell me that I was looking pretty tired and not getting booked for the shows for the next season. I was lucky I had an education to fall back on.
