Aaron Thread?

I'm speechless. Seriously. Let's remember this is a guy that, not that long ago, was considered a rising political star who could be a Presidential contender. Now he's dressing up like Britney Spears. Along with a lost political career goes his dignity.

I think that - his dignity - was lost a long time ago. It’s been all downhill since then.

The face that his mouth is wide open and you can’t see his teeth in that photo makes him look like a really crappily made Britney sex doll.
OMG, you’re right. The Cockgobbler has finally found his true calling.

You're absolutely right. No other way to explain why he put so much effort into becoming Britney Spears then showcasing it on his IG page. He sure has left fucking Peoria, IL and there's no going back.

I’m back from the penalty box after apparently making too many “insinuations” about Ms. Schock’s actual profession. Looks like I haven’t missed too much but those Britney pics are worth their weight in gold. I would like to see Aaron run again for political office again just for the resulting comedy.

Ms. Schock ain't running for any political office in the future. Apparently he's in the real estate development business now. He posted on IG that he and his partners renovated an old office building into a Hyatt Hotel a few blocks from LAX. She's looking for greener pastures when it comes to making money.

Actually, I'd like to see what's going to happen at New Year's Eve during his stay in Brazil.

Maybe we should forgive him. After reading all the documents, I could feel the pain he had to endure. He had a long struggle to be himself.
Millions of gay people lead closeted lives and go through the same struggle. My heart goes out to them. In Schock’s case, he actively worked against the interests of the LGBTQ community as a member of Congress. He has never addressed that issue. Let him apologize for the harm he caused us, and then I’ll listen.

I don't deny that he has made mistakes in the past. Apologies are needed. But it's not right to disparage him after he came out as gay. Just because he despised you in the past, doesn't mean you should despise him now. All that our community is aiming for is freedom and equality, a happy society.

I don't care whether he likes me or not. He was in a political position of power and he actively voted for legislation that harmed LGBTQ people. I hear no remorse from him about that. I'm a very forgiving person. Ask for it, Aaron.

If you read all this thread. You will see a lot of negative comments and retaliation. Schock has made mistakes in the past about homosexuality and self-denial but now he has faced the world and is true to himself. There are many gay guys who didn't look at Schock's negative sides before but became friends with him. So why, here are so many strangers saying vulgar things after he came out as gay? I once read an article, there is a saying that I still remember "Step into the light, you will not be alone". What he should receive should be forgiveness and love from the community itself. Is there too much negative energy in this topic and it comes from gay people? Hate someone will only make your heart feel tired.

You are totally missing the point. People don't hate Aaron for his "mistakes" (mainly because he doesn't even seem to view them as mistakes himself). He has never actually apologised for his anti gay legislation and policy that he tried to enact. Those are not mere "mistakes" but wilfull and malicious actions that he knew would hurt gay people (possibly permanently) . That's the issue here.

And even as vile as that was he could still receive and deserve forgiveness if he actually seemed to be repentant for what he did and actively worked to show behavior that reversed his past actions.

But he has not demonstrated anything of the sort. He has just "come out" as a vapid party gay who still associates with his same political side (that as of 2020, the official party platform still considered marriage only between one man and one woman.)

He's got a lot of work to do...

The problem is he still strongly supports people that would deny our community freedom and equality. I don't despise him because he came out. I despise him because he is a vile human.

What about the pain he forced on millions of LGBTQ+ community? Has be paid back any of the money he stole to decorate his office?

I don't know if Aaron and his posse are vaxxed and boosted or not, and I don't know how widespread Omicron is in Brazil, but the outcome would tilt toward them all getting Covid.
