axlx - I know what you mean. It felt like I was perpetually "on the outside looking in" on this site. you'll find that there are some really cool people who will chat about anything. pay someone a compliment and see where it takes you...

Well give it some time, join in on some of the ongoing threads that you find interesting, look at some of the social groups and leave a post. Leave a message for someone you feel you may have something in common. It just takes time sometimes.

That, "chunk of lumber," got him admirers, not pals. Pals came when he started putting word to page. I'm fortunate to have a ridiculous number of friends here and I'm hung like a hamster so size isn't everything here. Can't say it doesn't hurt though.

I think the best thing is to join some groups on here so you can meet some people with common interests or send a message to someone whose posting style you like.
This is a big group with many people with larger than life personalities, it can be hard to get a word in sometimes, but just reach out and people will respond.

I think we've all been there. I thought no one was talking to me because I had no pix and they all thought I was a fake woman, so I posted a few pix and got plenty of great comments on the pix but no more attention on the fora. It just takes time for people to register a personality from the posts.
