Reacher author on season 3 changes from the book, including Neagley and a lack of nudity

One other change this season that might not seem as pivotal as Neagley's inclusion but still tickles Child is the fact that Reacher didn't strip all the way down to his birthday suit in last week's episode, "Number 2 with a Bullet." Viewers — and DEA agent Susan Duffy (Sonya Cassidy) — were in for quite a treat when Reacher emerged from the ocean in his tiny black undies after slipping out of the Beck mansion in the middle of the night. But the author points out that, in his book, Reacher ditched even the black undies during his daring aquatic escape.

"Reacher is in a house on the Maine coast, and it is on a promontory surrounded on three sides by the sea and a wall on the fourth side — it's a very hard house to get into. It's even harder to get out of," Child says. "In the book, how does Reacher get out? Well, he swims. And how does he swim without getting soaking wet? He puts all his clothes in a plastic bag and ties it tight and carries it with him. But he swims naked."

Well even the author thought there would be nudity. As I mentioned before. Why are they being so conservative with this show in terms of nudity. I don't think Alan would have a problem with it. Is it due to not upsetting the straight male/conservative audience with a lot of male nudity?
