I think Alex has always been fem-gay; similar to the likes of James Charles, Jeffree Star and Bretman Rock. It’s becoming a somewhat common sub-culture within the gay space, and as such, is often conflated with trans identity, even though the two are very much different in their own rights (it’s like insinuating all Drag Queens are trans, when it’s simply an art form).
Furthermore, I’ve never seen Alex post anything about being trans or even non-binary. In fact, upon review, the hashtags he and Luc use, namely on Instagram, always refer to them being a gay, married couple.
For now, I’d assume Alex, happily identifies as a gay, cis-male. Should that change, I trust it will be raised via the couple’s social media channels to ensure correct references (pronouns) are used accordingly.
