It's called assertive mating. Humans will bond with others who have a similar appearance, cultural background, education level and socio-economic level.

Outside of the bedroom, I am an alpha and I have a large penis but in the bedroom I am beta and I want a hung alpha. For me it is about someone taking control and being dominant. As others have written here like attracts like. But what is that? What makes an alpha alpha? Is it just a list of macho he-man muscle body big dick characteristics?

I don't think so. It's much more likely to be personality traits.

In my experience alphas are attracted to other alphas because both have Type A personalities or at least share some of the same dominant personality functions that make up Type A.

People with the same traits tend to attract. They understand each other. People with different traits tend to rub each other the wrong way. They don't understand each other.

That said there are plenty of people--male and female of all body types--who have Type A personalities.

It's the personality which creates the attitude. Otherwise it's just acting.
