Could this be the reason he doesn't really show it off/ uses weird angles in movies?
The stage scene would have been the best place to show it from behind and they didn't. Instead they showed it as he was lying down from a top-down angle.

I think it's pretty clear (if you look closely) that he's wearing a vanity belt, which covers to upper part of his butt crack.
