I didn't know who he was until I watched Baby Driver on Netflix last night. He is stunningly beautiful, and those lips are to die for!
I remember hearing about an actor being accused of rape a couple of weeks ago, but at the time I had never heard of him before. I will reserve judgement until he is found guilty by a court of law rather than the court of Internet. Not saying that he is innocent, but what strikes me as as odd about this accusation is that the accuser immediately took down her post accusing him once this blew up. Why? Why aren't the police involved? In my country, once a complaint has been made to the police it must be investigated and charges would be laid if there was any merit to the accusation.
Being in the entertainment industry myself, I know firsthand of the desperate measures aspiring actresses/actors will go to for a break. It is a brutally competitive industry. Yes, he may have used his celebrity to his advantage, but in fairness, she knew who he was, so she was also using his celebrity. Maybe she was hoping get a break in the industry, and when that didn't happen she got angry and sought revenge. It wouldn't be the first time this has happened to a celebrity.
It could have also been just a one night stand in his mind, but she may have thought it was a permanent relationship. I had this happen to me a couple of times in my single days where all I wanted was a one night stand, but the girl I had sex with wanted a serious relationship after. In some people's minds immediate sex = serious relationship and when that doesn't happen, they get nasty.
With fame comes wealth and the parasites come out of the woodwork. As much as I detest everything about him (including his singing), Justin Bieber recently had this happen to him with a false social media post accusing him of rape which he was easily able to disprove. She also immediately deleted her post. He is now taking legal action against her because I'm sure he's getting fed up of it and wants to send a message that he won't put up with it anymore. I would do the exact same thing if anyone ever accused me of such a crime. Some people don't understand what a serious accusation this is and toss it around casually to get what they want. A buddy of mine in university was once accused of rape because a one night stand went bad when the girl's boyfriend discovered she had cheated on him with my friend. She accused my friend of rape to avoid taking responsibility for her actions. My friend lived in fear for his safety for a year because this guy and his buddies were looking for him to beat the shit out of him.

This is one of the worst takes I've ever seen lol. So much wrong with this that I can't even be bothered to go through and detail it all. I'll sum it up by saying I'd much rather believe an accuser and be proved wrong, than side with a potential rapist. I think Ansel is beautiful and an okay actor, but I wouldn't care if he was Daniel Day-Lewis level genius, if he's a rapist he's a rapist, so fuck him.
