I think they are cool because they are inflatable. I actually was told about site from the BadDragon site. I just see it as an inflatable toy that's shaped different from regular inflatables. I think toys are a lot of fun.
OH, and EDIT I talked to someone who worked in Customer Service at BadDragon and he said

Weird as this might sound, my biggest problem with it (although of course the whole thing is a world of wrong) is that there can be no informed consent so it's rape every time.
