What happened to him?

He was in an accident (I believe it was a car accident), and he had to have surgery on his elbow/shoulder; followed by a recovery period. Most of us assume his injury prevented him from training and working out the way he used to prior.

Maybe the accident was very serious and he cannot lift as heavy as before the accident...

Oh, it's very likely! I imagine either he needs to recover for more time, or he can't go all the way. Either way, I'm going to miss his big muscles
