Growing up as a young boy I always heard men will do it with anything that they can put their hard cock into. Obviously not anything, you get my point.

I hear what you are saying and I would agree. To answer your question, I do think that the younger you are the hornier you are which = 24/7. As you get older it lessens. I think older guys watch a lot of porn and want that Chris Hemsworth guy for their hook-up and if they can't get him they would rather watch porn and masturbate. I talk with about six guys regularly online on hook-up sites. I have hooked up one time. Younger guys are starting to hook up with each other more easily than they used to so that changes some dynamics as well. You posed a really interesting question, at least I think you did.

I hear what you're saying, but this is both situational and age-related (I suppose that's obvious). When I lived in San Francisco in my late 20s and early 30s, sex was incredibly easy to find. I was moderately attractive (youth is absolutely wasted on the young, as I didn't appreciate it and did really nothing to maintain it), and I could go to Buena Vista Park and be sucking a cock within minutes. Also had very little trouble picking up guys in bars. But that was due both to the critical mass of the location (SF during the first dot-com boom, when younger people were actually moving there and the average gay guy wasn't a 55-year-old bear) and my own youth.

Now it's not as easy, at my age and where I live. (Fortunately, I'm married.) I agree that apps are often a waste of time, but that's probably a function of my age.

If you're young and in a high-density gay area and still having lots of trouble, then.... I'm not sure what to say. Try another approach than Grindr. Few people seem to want to host, and there's a lot of fear about having randos over, in general. (Again, I get that if I were hot and 28, I'd probably not say that.) I know they're both old-school, but consider both cruisy areas and bathhouses if you want to get off quickly and think your lack of hooking up is not solely a function of attractiveness level and age.

To answer your main question: yes, lots of guys are horny a lot of the time. IME, this doesn't really go away as you get older. Check with me in 10 years; maybe I'll have a different answer then.

I'd say I'm just as horny at 43 as I was at 23, the diff is I wont act on it as much lol. at 23 I would fuck just about any woman of legal age that was game for it, lol and then I started experimenting with guys. Now I dont have the same energy to invite ppl into my life

I can't say what the fact of the matter is, but my own experience suggests that individuals who are horny virtually all of the time are in the minority in every major demographic one could name, including men. In most of my interactions with most men, they have been apparently focused on concerns other than sex. If this appearance is true, then "men are always horny" is false, even as hyperbole.

Men here on LPSG? Yes, horny 24/7. But irl it's not that common. I just think men are exposed to sex and porn sooner and it becomes part of their life. Not only doing but talking about it. Hell, even when men are not horny, they joke and talk about sex.

I say this because I talk about sex a lot, but since my pre-teen years, although I was exposed to porn, I've never been that invested in doing it. Lost my virginity with 22 and now with 28 I'm becoming even less invested on it. I rarely masturbate (maybe once/twice in two/three weeks) and porn is becoming slowly boring to me. I know I'm a minority and probably on the ace spectrum tho.
