After 16 years in Prague seeing hairy pits is rare. I've been looking, now that it's summer and guys are wearing less on the trams and subway, and see more smooth pits than hairy. More often than not, the hairy pits belong to a tourist. Even yesterday I was walking past a construction site and a heavy set worker-type was leaning against the building taking a smoke and sure as shit, his pits were smooth. The younger guy next to him, probably an apprentice, was also smooth. Both, by the way, were Ukrainian. At the gym almost every guy regardless of age is smooth - sometimes smooth EVERYWHERE. If not totally smooth, trimmed very very short.

Is it a North American thing that guys leave their pits natural or is it just a Central/Eastern European thing to shave?

Oh, and I forgot to mention, there's a local gay webpage (only in Czech) for hook ups etc. Looking through the photos, again, the majority have smooth pits.
