Can be hard to be artistic if all you have is a shitty camera and you're the one taking the photos =). I like you're first one though.

Download Picasa. It's free, and has a bunch of features to let you crop, sharpen, and change a number of things about the pic. Might help. Some of my most popular pics in my gallery were taken with my cell phone and then run through Picasa. Pretty fun to play with, too.

While most people can tell the difference between artistic photos and non-artistic photos, not everybody can (nor wants to) take them. It's fairly obvious from the views/comments on photos that the focus is on large penises, which is not surprising considering the name of the site. I like these two photos of mine, and although if someone specifically looked at them they might like them, they're never going to be that popular just sitting in my gallery.

Lookin' good, ohhhey.

I have many pics that are just plain pics. I don't put them in my gallery becuase I don't like them and assume that nobody else will. I try to include only the more interesting shots. Of course that has led to a few people attacking my 99% straightness.

I like the more artistic shots. I have an art background and I am used to directing photographers to get what I want. All of mine have been shot by someone else. It has never been hard to find someone to do the shots. A few have come up to me in the locker room and asked if they could shoot some photos of me. You certainly get better lighting and their eye for composition. Here are a few of the ones I like the most.

Thanks for the comments.
It does seem whatever the site is called, people are determined to be without any taste...
glad to hear that not everybody agrees this is necessary.
The penis is mostly ugly, as the site shows, and almost none are worth showing off. We have the problem of a lot of ego...a lot too much, a lot of insecurity and needing of validation, and an absence of talent as photographers and models.
Besides, as this is not just for gay men, it clearly shows how confused many straight men are seeking approval of other men, since much less than 1% of users are women.
Can it ever be artistic to have a close up of body parts? Probably...but it takes all the more skill and beauty to pull it off...whereas posting loads of self-shots makes it harder for the body ever to be viewed as attractive, in any sense.
If you are good looking and gay, you get to see lots of the real thing any time you want...if you are really straight, you would n't want to...
however, what should be a minority in between, which this site obviously caters for, is a huge audience of confused or bi-sexual men, who are mostly straight, but so frustrated they have had to get excited by looking at other men, without having the confidence to by outwardly gay.
I could expect people might discuss that, but first there's nothing to discuss, and the guys like that clearly dont want to because they can't deal with it.

Richi, sounds like some anger or frustration being expressed here... Some people like absolutes, you know, everything is black or white, good or bad, right or wrong. Unfortunately for those people, the world has many shades of grey between black and white.

While an artist might be expected to appreciate the infinite spectrum of greys and the opportunity it offers, you seem to want to confine things to absolutes: beautiful or ugly, gay or straight, self-actualized or screwed up.

As a mostly straight guy, I can say that I have to resist the temptation to vilify those men who happen to be both unattractive to me and clearly gay and who come on to me anyway. The part of me that would like for some thoroughly godlike man to come on to me is frustrated that such a man rarely does, and the men who do look all too human. I want to say ugly things to them and punish them for even thinking I am available. So, it's not really about what they look like or what their sexual orientation is, but because they are not the vaunted ideal that appeals to me in men (a whole different thing goes on with women for me). However, I am never rude, and I rarely have to be particularly firm in declining.

What I am saying is that my civilized exterior is sometimes something of a veneer. It is not a fake thing so much as it is a necessary tool for opperating in the complex arena of human relations.

Thanks for the response and glad a few people agree.
Are there any more people who think the body should always be presented as art and is there more demand for more like it? That question has to be aimed at the users of this site, i.e. gay men.
