For those of us who are aegosexual, do you consider yourself (yourselves) to be a voyeur? I've done additional soul-searching lately and wondered about cuckholding. I can confidently say I am absolutely not a cuck - mostly because I do not like (abhor) humiliation. Even voyeur sounds weird a little. I don't necessarily want to watch people have sex but something about it I like. I'm not sure why.

I'll have to say Thai I'm in a similar vein. My experience is limited but I'm not into voyeurism but there's something about the concept of sex that as long as I'm not personally apart of it, I kind it arousing though I guess my dislike for voyeurism may put a damper on how aroused I can get on a whole.

Interesting. Is cucking or humiliation involved with this aspect for you? For me, it is NOT. I despise humiliation. I need to be wanted regardless. Don't make me feel left out.

If for whatever reason I happen to find myself in a sex party or club (i do not go ever), i'd find myself enjoying watching if i could do that freely.

I'm not a fan of that actually, I've never bene in a situation to personally experience it but from media and the like it seems like a huge turn-off for me. My craving for affection is too strong to withstand that lol.

And yeah (same attended and don't think I'll attend), watching seems like fun

Certainly not for me. Not only I never did it, but also I never fantasised being in such a position.

By the way, what is an aegosexual? Here is what I found but it would be nice to have a confirmation. And is "aego" the same as "ego" in this word? Or is it more like "a + ego", that is "without ego"? I find the spelling (and the meaning) somewhat confusing.

Aegosexual is someone who is aroused and may masturbate but has not desire for sexual intimacy with another person.

One may be turned on by porn but if that person were looking to hook up with them, it wouldn't be the same.

Isn't that really close to asexual though? Asexuals can find arousal, say, in porn or TV or print. Perhaps they'll masturbate. But do not desire intimacy with an actual human. What would the difference be?

It's all under the umbrella of asexuality. Since there is this perception that asexuals aren't sexual at all, terms have been decided to explain other aspects to what we experience.

There are asexuals who do not even masturbate. I'm not one. I might even like to experience different sexual things but not because I am sexually attracted to anyon in particular.

Oh yeah, I get that. There's definitely a broad spectrum under the Ace umbrella. Just didn't see the difference with aegosexual and traditional (no subsets) asexual. The descriptions just sound the same to me.

I was trying to look up the root word aego but it doesn't really connect with the full word. It used to be autochorissexual which seems a better term.

Aego-
Interesting, thanks. The web page which you linked to gets something wrong though. "Aego-" is of Greek origin (a + ego = α + εγώ), not Latin. Similarly for "autochoris-", from "auto" («αυτό»: this, them, itself, themselves) and "choris" («χωρίς»: without). Still a little bit confusing but I think I understand.
