Just got back from the dermatologist where it was confirmed that I have balanitis right now. We were on a cruise and I used their soap and stuff... so my hood got annoyed. When it didn’t calm down on its own, I went to the doc and he gave me some cream to put on it and two different oral antibiotics.
He said it would start being better almost immediately...

yay.

no, I’m not posting pictures of my dick as it is now...

moral of the story: if you use weird soap rinse really really well... and under the hood you probably don’t need any soap at all... I’ve learned my lesson.

Water only for me. If soap got in, it’s from washing the outside.

good post.

Soap and water never hurt anything, just rinse thoroughly and dry up after. If it happens again, try some over the counter athletes foot cream. Unless you've got some underlying medical problems, especially diabetes, nine times out of ten, balanitis is caused by a yeast infection that clears easily. Yeah, you can pick up some nasty bacterial infections down there, but it's pretty rare. But you certainly did the smart thing by seeing your doctor right off the bat. I assume I can't interest you in getting circumcised like the rest of us? Take care!

Since “the rest of us” aren’t all circumcised, I’d have to say no to your fetish.

But I can push the ignore button on you and never have to listen to the drivel you spew...

I think Hairylegs is a doc, or a medical professional anyway, so his advice is pretty good. But I have to say I am with you on the amputation idea. My doc suggested that too but he accepted my definite NO on that without any further ado!

Kellogg was a doctor too.

This is helpful. I have to wonder if this is what I get on occasion. There is chafing on the corona and then an itchy spot below it. Looks a little bit like an infection. I do have to wonder if soap is not part responsible for it. Sometimes I use it in the shower to wank.

I imagine soap can cause problems. Soap dries out skin. Dried out skin there can be itchy and annoying.

It might be soap...just avoid using it to wank with for awhile. If the problem persists you probably have balanitis. If you use soap to wash it then it is best to use an unscented hypoallergenic soap. That's what my doc told me and it seems to work along with a topical cream he prescribed when/if there is a flareup.

Yes, but those corn flakes aren't too bad regardless of some of the strange things he promoted. Had some last night for a snack.:)
Not the point I was trying to make, but I’m glad you can joke.

Yes, I know your point but not much use pursuing it on here from what I have seen. Just a big shouting match about something some guys can't do anything about and the rest of us (mostly) aren't inclined to voluntarily subject ourselves to the mutilation. Btw, Kellogg seems to have been quite the radical from what little I have read about him, but I do like the corn flakes!
