Again, slightly bored. Home sick and kinda groggy.

So what’s your bedtime routine? Mine’s pretty simple. I cannot go to sleep wearing makeup, so that comes off almost as soon as I get home and casual pjs go on. Shower, moisturizers, eye serum before bed. A cup of tea, refill my water for urgent nightly thirst needs, refill the cat water bowl, check LPSG, watch some TV, take medications, and maybe turn on a podcast to drift off to.

i usually "go to bed" at 9, but that just means i leave my sister's company in the living room and retire to my own room, where i have to take a bath, wash my face, brush my teeth, the usuals, then i grab water/tea/soda, then i read or watch 1 or 2 more shows, then i usually take ANOTHER bath, then bed for good. i either leave the tv on on sleep mode for 1 hour or i turn it off, and i place my phone across the room where i can hear the alarm but not play with it anymore otherwise i'd be up til 2. and i usually wake at 6!

My bedtime routine happens hours before I actually fall asleep. I walk the dogs, a good long get it all out and chill them out walk. Come home to hit the shower. Do my nightly "face, please don't turn into a freckled raisin" routine. Basically, face planting into moisturizer. Braid my hair up into a top knot. Take the meds, cuz unbalanced ain't fun. Fuck around on LPSG, read a shameful number of net comics, Netflix minus the chill.

One last yardie for the mutts.

Off to bed. Push the boy back to his side of the bed where I am promptly displaced by the dogs. Wiggle into a gap and play Griddlers before I go to sleep.

What’s Griddlers? Should we all be playing?

Always a bath in the evening for me.I get very upset when I go to a hotel, and there's only a shower. I need to soak. I don't need a lot of water to soak in, but I want to soak. Sometimes it's a bubble bath, but on rough days Epsom salts. Then there are the rigors of body wash, exfoliants, essentials oils and moisturizers. Shaving is the last thing before getting out of the tub and I only use essential oils and a blade for that. Sometimes I'll put some baby oil on my calves or elbows before toweling off.

I'll put on a nightgown before heading back the living room to play on the laptop for about a half hour before turning in. I don't allow any computers or screens in the bedroom, including a TV. Bedroom is for sleeping and bedroom recreation only. I have an electric alarm clock that I never use. It doesn't matter what time I go to bed I'll wake up at 5AM. Don't know why. It's always been that way.

After I turn off HGTV I'll make my rounds and check door locks and garage doors even though we have an alarm system that shows everything is in order. I always double-check. I even double check the alarm system. Make sure kitty is fed. And then it's time for momma to go to bed.

Sweet dreams, everyone!

Griddlers Plus is my phone fed addition. It's like color sudoku. There is a grid, with boxed marked off by color and by count. You have to find the correct arrangement to make an image. I am so fripping obsessed.

Odd fact about me, I cannot have a bath. I have a bad reaction to the water here. Break out in masses of tiny little water blisters. So I have quick efficient showers. 5 minutes, tops. Used to love soaking in a tub. They changed something in the water here about 20 years ago. Some places I’m ok, just not in this city. Have to wear gloves washing dishes.

When I find a place where the water’s fine - I revel in it. Soak away!

I get home, change into comfy clothes, we have our smoke time (usually a few bong hits for me and a joint for him)... Then I go pick up something for dinner. He almost always cooks and I clean up. If we're both lazy and tired I'll just pick something up from one of our regular restaurants. There are some good places to get some smothered grubs in town.

After dinner a lil more herb and cuddles with the puppers and my titty-kitty.

We watch the news/political commentary or a ridiculous movie. Some nights I just watch him play video games for a bit.

Once we finally get tired around 9-10 we head off to bed. Most days I don't even have to take off makeup. I usually don't shower or bath before bed unless I'm really stressed or exhausted. I usually don't find bathing relaxing. Last night was a rare occurrence.

aww man, i would die! i love my nighttime baths with bubble bath or oils and candles. and when i get the chance, quick 15 minute morning baths to wake up with coffee and news or music. showers are utilitarian to me, once a week to wash hair and shave. i kinda don't care for them, but i can't really wash my hair in the bath and i don't care for ruining my baths with shaving (such a chore) so they are a necessary evil.

Take melatonin
Brush teeth
Use a rosewater/witch hazel toner, vitamin c serum, and a retinol serum (It is very rare for me to wear any kind of make-up. If I do, I tend to take it off immediately once I get home so that I don't forget to do so later on)
Brush hair
Lay down in bed with Rem and catch up on Youtube/etc some, specifically stuff we like to watch together
Turn on white noise app on my phone and mute notifications until a reasonable hour
Sleep

My mornings are scheduled but my evenings are anything but.

Usually just a quick shower (except my hair), moisturizer, brush my teeth, jump in bed and before I can count "one, two, three" I'm usually out cold.

Often check LPSG while brushing my teeth. At least if I'm not too tired.

I don't really have a set time that I turn in, my husband and myself are often night owls. I make sure our daughter is tucked up in bed by 9 at the latest unless she's staying at my folks which she often does, my folks are great. A lot of the time my hubby and myself go out for the evening, maybe for dinner or to watch a movie but mostly we go into town to the pub. When we get home the bras usually the first thing to come off and then the clothes and either the dressing gown goes on, one my hubby's shirts or maybe nothing at all depending on my mood. We'll usually watch some t.v. for an hour before letting the dogs out and going upstairs.
It's kinda a given that my husband is gonna want me so we use another room for our nightly pleasures, I really can't be doing with having to change the bed right before going to sleep hense using a different bed.

Those of you that know us will know that we also often have couples over for fun and games, that kinda blows any kind of a routine right out the water tbh.

Whatever we're up to it's usually quite late before we actually go to sleep, kinda 2 or 3am although we're both getting a bit old to be up that late Lol.

I’ve worked C shift all my career. I have a private sleeping quarters now, it hasn’t been like this for long. Still I don’t sleep when I’m on shift. I’m nocturnal, with that aside after shift I will usually either do a spin class or swim laps in the pool. I don’t have a job that I can just go home and sleep. I need to unwind. Exercising helps me do this. Since going through the change. I do the biote pellets for my hormonal balance. Since Starting this I no longer have night sweats. No weight gain, nascar sex drive.
Life is better.
I will be 56 this July, my occupation is physical I love it. Being very disciplined
Working out keeping my strength is important.
I take a shower several x a day, use a lot of lotion (cure)
A Aveda fan very picky about scent
I use Clinique smart serum on my face
Smart eye serum on my eyes, serum on my neck every time I shower.
Brush my teeth in the shower I’m very anal about my teeth I have about 12 different kind of tooth paste in my shower.
Never blow dry my hair. At one point my hair was all one length to the center of my back but when my mother was diagnosed w cancer I cut it all off and donated it to locks of love. Promoted by my sisters who said they were going to do it. But I was the only one that did. I have shoulder length hair now.
I don’t wear make up never have. I’m not by any means a prima Donna or a Barbie. I am very healthy, I have my regimen. My sisters tease me the are prima Donna’s. If you seen the move as good as it gets w Jack Nicholson when he comes out of the bathroom (finally ready for his date, she’s waiting) the room fills w steam from the bathroom supposedly that’s me.
I take ADK vitamins Daily when I rise and melatonin before bed. I get a b12 shot weekly.

I brush my teeth right after dinner.

Before sleep, I brush and braid my hair, oiling the braid and tassel.
I oil my skin, usually with olive oil. That’s chin and down. My face gets a vitamin c cream.
I trim my nails. I’ll wait to file in the morning.
I read or pop online before bed.

When my sweetie is traveling, we have sexy video times.
When he’s home, we don’t cohabitate, we see each other a couple times a week, and typically rather late because of our schedules.

I can relate to your regimen. I worked nights for years. I take biodentical hormones, they aren't pellets however. Are the pellets time release ? I'm going to ask my endocrinologist about them next visit.
Brush teeth, cleanse face, lotion here.
Also had thigh length hair for years, donated 2x to locks4love. Shoulder length now as well.

Have you had your water analyzed ? Maybe a good filter would help.

I'm sad that you can't enjoy baths. I wish I could, mine is a small shower/tub stall....my wish list for future remodel is a deep 2 person soaker tub -:)
