I have a pretty cute face and lots of guys talk to me through hooking apps. They even like my nudes but as soon as they find out im chubby they stop talking to me.

I just don't understand it tbh. Why is the gay community so fatphobic? Moments ago you had no problems with my appearance and even found my nudes to be hot, but when I tell you I'm fat (as I usually do because I don't want to hook up with someone who doesnt like what they see) you start acting different?

I have no issues with ANY types of body, but it seems that I can only meet with other fat/chubby/bear men because I'm not allowes to date any other body type.

Am I the only one who feels like this? Does this just come from my insecurities or am I putting too many expectations on those garbage apps?

i like how every response is like "not true! i jack off to fat men checkmate" when this post was clearly not about anyone's individual preferences but the undeniable fact that muscled and skinny men are idolized just like masculine men are-- sure, fat gays (femme gays or non-white gays) are fetishized/found attractive by countless other gays, but that's entire different to how they're respected. there are very real reasons as to why people put "no chubs" AND "into fat boys" in their bios and and they're often not great.

I think the comment above explained my feelings. I don't think it's just about preferences. Sure, everyone likes whatever they want, but it often feels as if only men with a fat fetish have that "fat man preference". It's like we are not allowed to participate in the same general dating pool.

Well, that's just like, your opinion, man. As a fat guy, I never felt fetishised or whatever. Not saying it's not happening, but saying, that it's not always the case, or not the only case of people being attracted to fat guys. Maybe try changing your outlook on things?
