What is it anyone's business what someone wants to call themselves or identify as? It's their lives and their business and none of yours.
It promotes bi erasure and belief that gay men are not hot/good enough to be in its own porn.
They identify as straight in their lives and gay in their work. Just like other actors that have played gay. Only difference is, they go one step further in their "acting". They aren't trying to erase anything or say anyone isnt good enough. Come down from the soapbox. All they doing is making money.
Maybe few of them are genuinely straight (do not hookup off set) but the problem with them is that they take place from actually gay men who would be better in every dimension- why "straight" guy should profit from gay community?
Why should we fault anyone for making money any way they can? There's plenty of room for gay and gay for pay guys in porn. The gay community profits off the fantasy, why shouldn't they profit off it as well?
