The first season of the oc was truly the gayest aka the slashiest one, especially the chemistry between Adam and Ben when they were Seth and Ryan. Most of the time I just wanted Ryan to dump Marissa and go with Seth, and in my mind the writers surely seemed to go that way until they hooked Ryan up with Marissa.
Well, I seriously doubt that but they were always very good with joking about it, which was more than enough to get me off lol. I remember in the second or third season (third, I think) there was a scene where Ryan spent the night somewhere else and called Seth the next morning to establish a cover, and when he called Seth was rolling around in his bed with the covers wrapped around him. Seth said, "I'm rolling around in your bed so it looks like you slept in it," and Ryan cracked, "You probably do that anyway." Long story short, I came pretty hard not too long after.
The first season was naturally the slashiest because it was the one that focused most on their friendship before the whole show fell apart the second year and none of the relationships or characters were as strong or well established as before. I just generally think the first season was a ton of fun and the only one where I didn't hate Marissa.
