As far as I know, EbonyU was an attempt later in Fratpad's life to start another brand, and it sounds like they were even planning on starting a new Fratpad, moving the Black Fratmen from the Pad and over to this new place. That never happened, but they clearly did start releasing segregated solos like this lol. I've been noting that the Fratpad does have a history of occasional diversity in its models, which really was unique at the time, but almost all of them were at least half White. I believe that Fratmen Ty in 2008 was the first ever non-White Fratman, then we didn't have another until...honestly, maybe Keyon in 2011. There's a chance PJ doesn't have any European in him, he was there in 2010. But yeah I think Fratpad has an interesting history in this regard, and I also thought EbonyU was just a myth until relatively recently. Fun to have people sharing relics from it now, I also thought everything was gone.
To this, Miguel is actually full gay, I'm quite sure haha. It sounds like he came out by the time he left the Pad, when he was still figuring things out. He was active in the gay sober community in L.A. after a really bad low point. It sounds like he's the one who coined the term "straight-ish" that a lot of Fratmen from then on liked to use (the word "bisexual" was too definitive for a lot of them, but many liked "straight-ish" and "bicurious" and "curious.") But yes, it seems like Miguel is the first gay Fratman.
Yeah I think John thought he was filling a niche by providing a site focused on black men but it ended up looking like segregation.
Also PJ is not black, if I remember correctly correctly. he's a mix of Pacific Islanders. But he definitely could pass and he knew that. I know he wasn't there long enough to be super popular but man did i love him! Such a sweetheart

Oh so just to clarify, I was making a point about the fact that Diego, Taj, Kumar, Jace, Keli'i, and I believe Benji and Rico all have a White/European parent. Jace I think they even just called "Spanish," but Fratmen sometimes makes stuff up, and he may have said something different to members himself. So yeah what I mean was that I think Fratmen was unique in that it had more diversity than some other active sites at the time, but it also was very rare for a Fratman to not have at least one White/European parent. So I think it's significant to note the times that there were Active Fratmen at the Pad who didn't have any immediate European lineage, which is a very small group, but they were there.
