I'd actually say Dillon Anderson is not an exception. I don't think he's ugly but he's certainly not some head-turning, stunner. He's borderline average but he's consistent and dependable.

In terms of OF/JFF, many of the top guys are porn stars/escorts, models and bodybuilders who tend more toward the commonly-accepted standard of attractive. The uglier, scruffy guys (i.e.: Rocco Steele, Colby Jansen) gain a following due to the strength of other attributes (big dick, strong topping skills) or the fact that they seem more in the "possible" (to date or be with) range of certain audience members.

Then there's the mid-level to lower echelon of OF/JFF who are average or unattractive, yet have good scenes or provide a level of authenticity and/or dirtiness that is lacking in traditional studio-porn or OF/JFF pages by professionals.

I have never followed the crowd. I find only about one in 200 scenes that do it for me. Wish I wasn't this way. It would be much more convenient. I never get off with anyone during the frequent sex that I have as no one knows how to do it right anymore. It is the lost art of head pretty much now.I guess that is why I prefer porn where both parties get off... the ideal world. Much of what you say is correct. Dillon is not Bel Ami gorgeous, but he has worked for quite a number of studios, so he fit my description of someone who could be hired by a studio. I am partial to him as he often does scenes the way they should be done IMHO and is one of the very, very few who knows how to suck a dick right. I wish I could hire him.

I don't think its a question of crowds or popularity. We all have our favorite type of thing. So for instance, I prefer bareback videos with creampies and for the socks to be off. However, I realize that many scenes don't have creampies, some guys prefer to keep their socks on (and need to) and condoms may be seen as necessary for some guys/situations. I'm not so particular that my enjoyment of a scene is ruined or impossible because 10 of my boxes aren't ticked off. If I was, I'd approach everything with the understanding that my standards are the exception rather than the expected rule deserving of a specific gripe when most scene predictably don't live up to them.

Many average, borderline average and ugly guys work for studios all the time. For instance, Rocco Steele is a very popular hire for studios but is not attractive at all. Other guys who aren't exactly stunners include Adam Awbride, Dakota Wolfe, Ridder Rivera, Louis Ricaute, Antonio Biaggi, Mateo Fernandez and Dominic Pacifico.

Lots of hires for Raw Fuck Club, Tim Tales and Treasure Island Media are not the best looking guys in the world. So the porn industry does hire plenty of guys who don't fit into the traditional standards of beauty in the way Andy Taylor, Cade Maddox, Arvion Kylers, Topher DiMaggio or Jack Hunter do. So I think the popular guys in the porn industry and on OF/JFF overlap in terms of looks.

However, OF/JFF provides a space for guys no studio would ever hire (chubs, overweight, unattractive, etc.), but I find those guys aren't necessarily the most popular. However, OF/JFF gives them a place to find their niche.

I wish I could be so inclined. If the final couple of minutes don't measure up, I won't watch a scene. I wish I were more catholic in my tastes as I used to be. If I weren't so embarrassed I've thought about hypnotherapy for my limitations.Alas. I wasn't always so picky but also what I like used not to be an option at all so I had lower expectations. Breeding and cumming inside a closed mouth scenes are in general all less than a decade old with very, very few exceptions. I know others don't see things my way.

We're not going to get that in every video we see. But I excuse it because its practical that every performer may not like creampies or doesn't want to creampie'd by a certain guy or that its too messy (particularly if its a quickie scene or in a public place).

In terms of fetishes, others seeing it your way is not necessary or even valid if regard to your own personal enjoyment. Its more a case of saying "They didn't feature that" when its pretty much standard that they wouldn't. For scenes with specific types of acts, you'd have to sift through a lot of material.

So your personal sexual expectations are totally fine, but your expectations that those sexual expectations will be reflected in videos is a bit too inflated for the reality of porn in general.
