These are from Bob Mizner's "Athletic Model Guild (AMG)". He was a pioneer in male photography right after WWII. I read somewhere that the smaller-hung model was popular during the pre-nude, "jockstrap" period, but, after the loosening of laws on nudity in the 60's, was one of the many victims of the increasing demand for well-hung models.

Mizner, located in LA, drew heavily upon sailors in nearby Long Beach (and marines from Pendleton) looking for a few fast bucks. Many of the military guys dropped out of the scene after the switchover to nudity, probably due to a combination of the social stigma regarding public nudity and a fear of not "measuring up". Mizner thereafter resorted more on hustlers for his models.
