I planned to take out a Blake Mason membership. What I don’t want is auto rebill. I coupd see most of their memberships had auto rebill save (seemingly) their annual one, where the website does not set out a rebill (though doesn’t specifically say this won’t happen). I contacted to check that the annual membership does not auto rebill. I‘m told it does.

Decision made. I’m not prepared to accept auto rebill. I’m not taking out a Blake Mason membership. I wonder how many other men are making this decision and not taking out a membership. It seems beyond crazy. I know BM are a successful company, but they have lost my money.

Am I alone in refusing to accept auto rebill?

Why don't you just cancel it right after you subscribe?

Thanks for the thought.

is this actually possible? As far as I can see cancellation of membership (the only way to cancel rebill) leads to immediate cancellation of access to the site.

Sites like Bel Ami have a monthly rebill option and a much more expensive monthly no rebill option. Is it possible on Bel Ami to take out a one month rebill membership, immediately cancel membership, but continue to watch until the month is up? I’m pretty sure cancellation of membership immediately stops access.

I do that all the time. I have done it with Bel-ami, Men.com, Corbin Fisher, to name a few. Especially when they would do a high %-off promotions. Then cancel almost immediately. I don't lose access until the month is up (or 3-month, if it's multi-month promotion). I haven't been perma banned either... yet.
