Eh, I get it. When I was younger (teenage years) I came out as bi because it sounded better because I could still portray that I could still be with a women even though that could never truly happen. Like being bi sounded "safer" if that makes sense. Internalized homophobia.

Maybe this guy is the same? Either that or he gets more attention and therefore money/influence if he says he's gay rather than bi. We see it in gay porn all the time and it's annoying.
