Sorry, I realize that statement is confusing. In Ryan’s Murphy”s Netflix series “Hollywood” starring Darren Criss there is a climatic pool party when all the gay hustlers from the gas station pair off with the Hollywood stars and movers and shakers, and he used many gay porn actors and models in the scene like Derek Chadwick. Derek used his participation for a lot of self promotion and got lots of press for it.
It would have been the perfect thing for Blake to do with his classic looks and the parallel real life storyline and I’m sure Murphy would have been into the stunt casting of it as he does in many projects and loves that kind of promotion for his projects. He might have even given him a few lines, it could have been the perfect launch into mainstream work.
He just posted in his YouTube channel and addressed the status of his (non-porn) acting... according to him, 2020 events put a huge blackout in Hollywood production, which made the business hard even for his friends that were already employed.
I truly believe it, since other areas (more crucial / needed than TV/Cinema) experimented the same crisis.
Judge me, but I can really see Lane at least thriving in B-list productions in Hollywood (Netflix shows, Queer realities). He isn’t an ordinary porn star, he has a significant fan base, meaning some niches could lead him to a quasi-mainstream career. Not HUGE but enough to pay the bills.
I could see him with a role in Megasharktopus vs. Mechapiranha 7.
