I don't know, there could be several explanations but he couldn't wait 2 weeks for the antibiotics to do its thing to film seems like a bit of a stretch
he doesn't live near the guys he films with, since he moved to kentucky to attend college. that means either he has to travel to them or they have to travel to him. if he caught something and can't film because of it, that means those travelling expenses were money burned and he'll either have to reschedule and spend more on travelling or just take the loss. that's why it's feasible he caught something and that's why he's wearing a condom

He's wearing condoms with guys now because he wants to collab with girls more now. He's appeared in some girls' OF videos uncredited and unpromoted without condoms. Female sex workers don't feel safe working with crossover talent, especially those who do BB with other guys.
