Use a lot of AstroGlide. Great stuff! Get it at most drug stores.

Better than a dildo is an inflatable dildo. I use those when I want to train to take even bigger/thicker than I already can (and I can take a lot). An inflatable allows you to transition from size to size to size as you expand it. Gettign dildoes of varying sizes doesn't wholly prepare you for the next size up.

one other thing.. the thin lubes like Astroglide and KY liquid didn't work for me, I went back to the old Dr.'s office thick KY jelly in a tube and it helped me greatly.

Also, if you're anal passage was tight as hell like mine, get that dildo in slowly, bear the pain from stretching for a few minutes and it WILL loosen up. After mine loosened up I was fucking my hole like a cunt.

You're not alone. I've had the same issue and its not easy. Best way to keep the fun going is give a great BJ if penetration fails.

I remember using a Doc Johnson 8 inch dildo that was about 1.25 inches in diameter and I thought it was HUGE! I used to use a thick lube called Spike, I think it came in a squeeze like accordion looking container, really thick and not super greasy and no need to keep reapplying. Anyway, I graduated to alot bigger and I found that if you really want it, you can put a pretty big penis or dildo in you. My favorite lube is the top's spit...

Use a Butt Plug around the same size thats what I do It will take some time to get it all in but the wait is so worth it and plenty of Lube
