"I want to start this post off by humbly saying, I haven’t “made it”. By any stretch of the imagination. I had a tough year in 2024. And am learning to navigate life a little differently with an autoimmune disease. I also, had to learn to navigate the waters of how easy my year COULD have been. Had I just shut my mouth, taken the checks and been the guy who just said he “didn’t talk politics”.

As I write this, I probably still have some apologies to make to my loved ones for not doing exactly that. Because, I would have a lot more to monetarily share from 2024 had I just been quiet. Lost some opportunities for my mouth. But I will leave you with the following sentiment. Thus far, I have no evidence of being censored or shadow-banned. I am deeply grateful that some brands have still chosen to work with me, despite the aforementioned loud mouth. As I am well aware, for a multitude of reasons, working with me is not the “easy” choice. However, it is of my utmost belief, that censorship is a fear that relates to us all. And we should remain preemptively sensitive to signs or early signals of monopolies that could make censorship easier. You may love the government how it stands, you may despise it. But you HAVE to make certain that you are not at the mercy of any one entity to decide if you are heard. Nothing I have done is worth praise. It’s bare minimum behavior. But it should, at a minimum, be a baseline that you hold other people who you follow to. I’m not afraid to get things wrong every once in a while….i’m am way more afraid of giving people platforms that would prefer to mute the discourse. Thank you @people for including me as one of the 2024 creators of the year. I know I wasn’t an easy choice.
