to be fair, that describes more than 1/2 the crew on every season - not just the men either and thus the anger/violence/rudeness goes both ways.
of course, i suspect a hell of a lot of it is purposefully scripted that way, or at least set up to result in that from a t.v. production stand-point.
typical 'get hot people, get them drunk together, get them fighting/fucking, put it on t.v. for viewing' plan of show production.
No it really doesn't. Apologists ike you always want to make people like Ashton's Behavior a universal problem and minimize their actions. He is an angry, aggressive, sexist ashat who should've been thrown off that boat after he went atfer Kate. His behavior was totally unacceptable and if Kate had been more vocal about how she felt unsafe he would've been gone. People need to stop making excuses and allowances for guys like Ashton.

The dude has an alcohol problem and should seek treatment if he hasn't already. He should put himself in an environment where he isn't encouraged to feed it, and is pulled up when he tries to joke about it (eg. Smashton).

I totally agree on Ashton, but I do want to throw in that Kate is a real b**** and she's actively looking to annoy people and make them flip. She's rude, arrogant and narcissistic as hell, cobstantly causing trouble and then play surprised that things get out of hand. So while it does *not* justify Ashton's behaviour, she's part of the problem (if not the origin of the problem).
Kate isn't one of my favorites. however, Ashton talking ahit about her and then randomly forcing a kiss on her was beyond cringe and ventured into rapey. He feels entitled to do whatever he wants and that shit is why i cannt stand him.
Yet you took the time to respond and then tell me not to respond to you. Typical clown behavior. Maybe you should start a BCSG Basic -Clown Support Group.

THIS! Kate's has three arrest records herself, including domestic violence and battery by strangulation so while it's justified to take down Ashton, to do so without going after Kate is complete hypocrisy. Even more disgusting is the network placated to her by not insisting that she was fired after her last arrest.
They did kiss before. If I kissed someone I liked, I'd kiss them a second time without first asking for permission too. And that was again Kate stirring things up. I don't remember her exact words, but she said something like "I don't kiss people twice". She could have said that rather than explode into a tantrum again...

He wasn't drunk when he demeaned woman and treated Riley like shit. Excusing and apologizing for someone you don'teven know is pretty sad. He had two seasons to show everyone who he was and we all know it's not the alcohol, he's just an asshole.
