There is going to be quite a lot more coming on this in the next few months. There is an open and active police investigation, something that should have happened 8 years ago but like many victims Jon Ebeling was afraid to come forward to the police. People saying that coming forward is somehow an attempt to boost his career don't seem to comprehend what ACTUALLY happens to your career when you let people know you've been victimized. I also think people are skimming the details of what happened and don't really grasp the depth of how intensely this man was gaslit by people whom he thought were his friends.
Here's another perspective into the mind of Brian Jordan Alvarez:
When he released his two indie films - "Everything is Free" and "How to Be a Slut in America" - he expected everyone who participated to be sexually free with tons of on scree nudity and simulated sex. This included himself, and it's where the short video clip of him standing in the shower with a fully hard dick comes from.
However, when he signed with CAA and his career started going mainstream, he took down the streaming versions of those movies that existed. He then edited *ONLY HIS OWN* nudity and explicit scenes OUT of the movies, and then re-published them to streaming. He left in everybody else's content. He only edited out his own. That's because the only person he has EVER been interested in protecting is himself.
Anyway, whatever. I know everybody is just here to jerk off and people are annoyed that serious conversations are being had in a forum where they just wanna look at dicks, but it's really time to confront the way so many people are willing to turn a blind eye to the behavior of famous folks they like, or that they find physically hot.
There is no such thing as permanent/ongoing/established consent, regardless of your sexual identity. The longstanding sexual openness associated with queer men is not an excuse for suggesting that all queer men participate in implied consent as a general boundary. I actually have a t-shirt I wear to bear related events that says "My Identity as an Otter Does Not Equal Consent," because the lines are blurred significantly enough that many men have to be reminded that my meer presence doesn't mean you can put your hands on me.
And even *IF* it were true, as one contributor to this conversation has suggested, that consent has different definitions for gay cis men, that doesn't automatically mean that all gay cis men have universally agreed to those definitions to the point where it can be assumed that you can do whatever the fuck you want.
Bottom line: BJA is a preadtor who has a long history of sexually pursuing men who identify as straight, going back to his college years when a literal restraining order had to be taken out against him. He caught feelings for a straight actor, used his success and influence to get that actor to have consensual sex one timr, and then after being told repeatedly that it was something that wouldn't be repeated, put that actor's penis in his mouth in a room full of other people without getting consent from *ANY OF THOSE PEOPLE INCLUDING THE ACTOR IN QUESTION*.
If you can read any of that and still make excuses for this man, you need therapy.
