Stupid computer wont play my music, it says I don't have a audio device and then the internet connection goes down and I have sound but can't get on the internet so I restart my computer and the imternet thingy works again and I've got no sound again:frown1::frown1::frown1::frown1:

Maybe the Windows automatic update I had yesterday has broken my computer?

Accessories > System Tools > System Restore to the day before the update.

Pleased to hear that your up and running again, You could have reinstalled your sound card driver software. I have had this problem in the past, reinstalled the software and sorted the problem

I think the auto update function is the biggest mistake for a window user, turn it off and pic out only the updates you think are necessary that way you actually know what is being installed on your computer. I'd be wary of letting MS choose your driver updates. Get them at the manfg. website if ever possible.

Agree with Deno post 9
Switched off my Auto Update on the last 2 computers i have had..and never have any problems
Too much JUNK those Microsoft bastards send out..continually cramming the Comp with Crap

Catch,

is this a laptop or PC? I assume its a laptop. Go to the manufacturer's website, download the Sound drivers and install them. Also unplug any extra USB or other devices you might have plugged in.
