Did they also cut their water off...generator won't help with that. I also assume neighbors may be emboldened to pressure the government or take them to court. It was a noise complaint from neighbors that shutdown the party. It is a wealthy area and I assume they have the resources to take a variety of actions. The person they rent from may also feel a lot of pressure.

The city thinks they have the authority to do that. So did Minneapolis and Seattle and both had to reverse decisions and pay damages once lawsuits were filed. LA as liberal as it is still has to follow the law.
