It hurts me to say that I remember Cam4 being launched back in 2009, and Chaturbate two years later in 2011.

Back in the, aptly named, naughties adult content was far less filtered than it is now, legality had not hit in, and so Cam4 and the like were the domain of a) exhibitionists who suddenly found an arena where they could get their cock out and stroke it while strangers watched, and b) voyeurs who couldn't get enough of seeing people exposing themselves and having sex in front of an audience of strangers.

It was a lot more straight in the beginning, and one of the things that has changed since those early days is the dialogue in the chat. It was completely unfiltered. I kinda perved on straight guys watching women and couples and the chat and comments were very direct and, in ways, disrepectful. Still, it was incredibly hot watching straight guys, incredibly, incredibly oblivious to the fact you were watching them, saying "go on, fuck her" "you dirty slut". Honestly, it was my I wanna be fucked by straight men fantasy brought to life.

Roll on a few years and we have the tokens being introduced. Sure, in the short term, that is a hell of a lot of dollars rolling in to the cam sites and the performers. But really, overnight the authenticity was lost.

Now.. logging on to these sites is the most frustrating and uninspiring sexual activity. Hundreds of guys out their stroking their cock but not because they are actually turned on, but because they want money.

There is nothing, i mean, nothing, sexy about about a man stroking a semi-flaccid cock saying "come on, tip guys" No-one, and I mean no-one. looks sexy with a piece of pink plastic in their ass. Their is no greater turn off than a guy who calls himself a dom, a bull, a top, and then for five dollars he is spreading his ass and shoving a dildo inside him. Get real.

Something will replace this cam environment.. where do we go?

You're not wrong.

Totally agree with you. The early years were gold. Now there are so many shaved, buff, tattooed guys (and couples) that the sites just resemble commercial porn.
Ooof the tattoos are such a turn off for me but I agree it's why so many porn sites are losing money

Whoever came up with the idea that heterosexual straight men would be “sexier” with a little buzzing piece of pink plastic stuck into their overly shaved manicured hole?
Hey...I like it! Once straight guys get used to massaging their prostates, it's only a matter of time before they become dildo whores.
I am 100 percent in support of straight men shoving things in their assholes.

I agree with your dom top -> dildo point. That type of masculine man who wouldn't accept anything near his ass, or wouldn't even want to be looked at sexually (in real life) is gone. Everyone is so metrosexual now, and even straight men are getting pegged and rimmed and all this rubbish. The glory days of really masculine men are behind us. It's one of the reasons that finding an actual top has gotten harder and harder over the years.

I have to smile. I LIKE straight guys reduced to dildo whores getting their holes buzzed. It's great training for them to get in touch with their prostates and reveals how good it would be for something larger to get in there.
After all, I'M the Dom, here. :D :imp:

I get more and more frustrated each time I go on. And then the token boys give attitude so you will give them tokens and the games. I miss icuu as well. You could sign on feeling good, pass out and wake up with your laptop between legs and a dozen guys saying good morning, did you have a nice flight? Someone needs to create another site.

I don't know who came up with the idea, but whoever they are I want to thank them. :imp:

It seems like what a lot of people here are really missing is this idea of "real masculine straight men." I'm sorry, but I find this whole "straight == masculine == dom top" idea rather boring. Personally, I love it when a hulking, intimidating, "masculine" man is (or becomes) a total cockslut manwhore -- it's so much better when men experiment with themselves and their sexualities, and these rigid "if you're this, you must be that" mentalities that keep us from enjoying life to the fullest fall by the wayside.

Now, I would agree that there are way too many tattoos these days. And to be fair, I've never been terribly familiar with sites like CB or Cam4, so I believe people when they say they've lost their luster due to perverse financial incentives like everything else on the Internet. But hey, it's not like it's stopping anyone from being "real" or "authentic" or whatever if they want to.

Big, hairy, steroided muscular men shoving things in their butts....I'm all for it. If they want to call themselves "straight" and bang women on the weekdays, that's fine with me as long as they sell their holes to ME on the weekends. ;)
