are you relaxed. if not try to relax and focus on breathing/ I do not condone this but some guys use poppers. But there is nothing wrong with tapping out/ taking a break . It will give you a chance to change positions.

You seem to be blaming length so I will assume he's bottoming out in your ass and hitting the back wall of your rectum. It still hurts to begin with when I do it and I often tap out very early and take a quick break before getting the guy to try again. The second time is always much more enjoyable until the lube etc starts to wear off. I would suggest Amyl as well it really relax's the body.
