He may not be coming out because the moment someone with any degree of notoriety comes out as gay the gay "community" immediately puts demands on the person and he doesn't wanna get involved in that freak show. Maybe he'd just like to live his life without worrying what the gay mafia thinks of or wants from him.

Listen, I don't think that he's straight. I'm really good at reading people, especially queer people.
I'm not saying he's gay, he might be something else (there are tons of other things he could be). He grew up on a rural part of Georgia and in a religious family, he's the only son they have, he's best riends with his mother... I personally think that Survivor was his first time spending time with queer people without the shadow of his community casting over him and he might need some time to figure things out.
Facts are: he follows a ton of queer people for someone who's just an ally. He instantly connected with the queer people on the island and those are his best friends post-show. He's coming out of his shell. He grew up not feeling like someone people would want to date and surrounded by southside straight people. Smart as he is, these things takes time.
Regarding OF, I don't think he's ever doing one. He cares a lot about NASA and I personally think that it's a life long dream he's going to persue. He's just starting his career - he said he's still a student.

Oh, one more thought: he seems to be the kind of person who wouldn't enjoy fooling around. I think that when he finds someone he likes romatially, he will want to have a longterm relationship, then marriage and kids. It's cute if you think about.
