I’ve got it on VERY good authority that The feud with Amanda Holden was the reason he came out. She was the reason. It was an open secret but she threatened to make it public unless he did.

apparently she knew all along! Which I kind of believe.
Still, sad for her though to have “wasted” her life when she could have found a man that also wanted to be with her.
All this has come from a publicist friend. I haven’t made it up! But believe what you want to believe Dermot O’Leary and Simon Cowell are in the same boat too according to her!
