I remember the fan base getting extremely toxic around him, so I don’t blame him. He didn’t do anything wrong mind you, they just picked apart everything he did to the point were they were constantly harassing him (even calling him fish fucker because of his climate activism).

The only thing I remember is people being mad because fans cared more about their asses instead of Maddison's music (she's a great singer but I didn't like those songs). But that's the only thing that I actually noticed

They accused him of caring more about the climate than BLM, and it snowballed from there. After that they said he shouldn’t be on the show because his singing sucked, or he was too ugly to be an actor, that he was racist, the usual abusive crap.

It died down already though, but yeah, if anything I’m glad he took a break from social media and hopefully he found a nice guy in Canada to keep him happy.
