Cheney's got a gun...

its just collateral damage, wtf is the big deal ???

I guess if he hadn't gotten so many deferments he might have benefited from a little basic training handling firearms

Cheney's got a gun
Cheney's got a gun
His dog day's just begun
Now everybody is on the run
Tell me now it's untrue.
What did his Scooter do?
He leaked a little bitty Plamey
The man has got to be insane
They say the spell that he was under the lightning and the
thunder knew that someone had to stop the reign

The internet® is great...

Olive oil.

We need to set up a hunting party with Cheney, Bush, Rove, and Rumsfeld.

Maybe somebody'd get "lucky".

Ah, and it was discovered that cheney was hunting without a license. Any bets on whether or not he will be charged with poaching and hunting without a license? It will get swept under the rug, won't it?

Where did you read this? Everything I've read says he had a legitimate hunting license.

Since it's long, here's the quote from the article:
"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department gave Cheney and Whittington warning citations for breaking Texas hunting law by failing to buy a $7 stamp allowing them to shoot upland game birds. A department spokesman said warnings are being issued in most cases because the stamp requirement only went into effect five months ago and many hunters weren't aware of it.

Cheney's office said Monday night in a statement that Cheney had a $125 nonresident hunting license and has sent a $7 check to cover the cost of the stamp."

There is a lot of weird stuff connected to this story. One item is the failure to notify the local sheriff of the incident. Don't they have lawyers in the White House? Oh wait, they are busy justifying torturing people. I am sooo stupid.

BUT the weirdest to me is that the medical specialists in Corpus Christi were consulting with the White House on diagnosis and treatment. These White House staff are, of course, cardiac and medical specialists assigned to be with the Vice President at all times. Talk about a health plan....this full-time medical coverage probably costs what....$5 - $10 million a year with travel, training, and overtime [maybe more].

Whenever I heard someone on tv say, "The Vice President is at a secure, undisclosed location" my brain translated this sound bite into "The Vice President is at a secure, undisclosed medical facility." Little did I realize he lives in a mobile medical trauma center.

The spin machine has been busy trying to minimize the fallout from this one.

The White House didn't even announce news of the accident until confronted about it by the press. Then they tried to portray it as a superficial wound that was the victim's fault for being in the wrong place or some such (attention: the shooter is responsible for what he's aiming at).

Whittington was in intensive care for days and then suffered a "minor" heart attack due to a shot pellet lodged next to his heart. None of this sounds minor or superficial to me.
