On one hand, I can understand how it would be kind of weird if he went into the vita-ray chamber a hairless twink and came out with his wonderful chest hair in full force, but... It's also a movie where a guy is a literally a red skull, so... suspend your disbelief?

In the 1950s, it was common not to shave your torso, and having torso hair (even a little) is common in mostly men (specially caucasian guys). The “shave trend” started like in the 80s I guess. They could have easily made their slimmer version have some torso hair too. Would be impressive see the hunk Captain America chest with hair, but also too erotic to a “family movie” hahahaha
