Chris pine

Not that I don’t think he could be , but I just want to know what the rumors/ incidents that fuel them are? Can you share some? I’m clueless when it comes to his rumors.
Here’s a pretty good list. Hope this helps…!

1. “PR relationship” narratives (Annabelle Wallis, especially)

This is probably the most frequently cited example, as you mentioned.

What people claim:
  • His long, on-and-off relationship with Annabelle Wallis is described in gossip circles as “contractual” or PR-driven.
  • Timing of appearances often lined up neatly with press cycles.
  • Very limited candid paparazzi behavior compared to other celebrity couples.
  • Minimal public discussion of emotional intimacy.
Why this fuels rumors:
  • In Hollywood lore, PR girlfriends are often assumed to be used by closeted or private actors.
  • Fair or not, this is a long-standing trope that fans apply quickly.
Important caveat:

There is no proof this relationship was fake — just pattern-reading and skepticism based on industry reputation.

2. Blind items and anonymous gossip posts

Over the years, Pine has appeared in:
  • Blind items (e.g., “A-list action star,” “Chris from a franchise,” etc.)
  • Anonymous posts claiming he dates men privately or is bisexual
These usually allege:
  • Discretion due to career concerns
  • Same-sex partners outside the public eye
  • Studio pressure to maintain a straight image early in his career
Why these matter (even though they’re unreliable):
  • Blind items create a feedback loop: once one exists, people “connect” unrelated dots later.
  • Many fans treat repetition as corroboration, even when it’s not.
3. Early-career Hollywood whispers

In long-running gossip forums (think pre-TikTok internet), Pine was sometimes described as:
  • “Quietly bi”
  • “Fluid”
  • “Not as straight as marketed”
These rumors supposedly date back to:
  • His early Star Trek fame
  • Casting rooms and industry-adjacent chatter
Again: no names, no receipts, lots of hearsay, but it’s often cited as “this has been around forever.”

4. His unusually private dating life (by celebrity standards)

Beyond Wallis, Pine:
  • Has relatively few publicly confirmed long-term relationships
  • Avoids discussing sex or romantic preferences in detail
  • Doesn’t do the “ladies’ man” press persona common for male leads
5. His responses to sexuality questions

In interviews, Pine has:
  • Spoken positively about sexual fluidity as a concept
  • Expressed indifference to labels
  • Avoided explicitly defining himself beyond general statements
Some fans interpret this as:
  • Soft signaling
  • Intentional ambiguity
6. Association with openly queer or queer-friendly spaces

He’s been embraced by:
  • Queer fandoms
  • Fashion-forward circles
  • Indie film communities
There’s also occasional speculation around:
  • Friend groups
  • Travel companions
7. Comparison-based rumor stacking

Pine is often grouped mentally with actors like:
  • Oscar Isaac
  • Pedro Pascal
  • Andrew Garfield

Wow that’s very detailed thanks lol. So the normal closeted actor script.

Does anyone know the male actors he has been linked to? He’s always binged Bi or gay to me so I for one think he could be.

Not that I’m aware of. There have been rumors about him and Zachary Quinto in the past, but could just be a close friendship. Also rumors about him and Harry Styles. Interesting (and unrelated to Chris Pine), Harry Styles has been allegedly hooking up with George Clooney and Rande Gerber.

There’s a photo of Chris getting a blowjob from another guy in a hotel online, but I think it might not be authentic. One of those gay male celebrity nude photo sites is using it for marketing.

I also don’t think any of his “girlfriends” have ever moved in with him, even after several years of “dating.” So that fuels the rumors too.

And his parents are very traditional and allegedly wouldn’t be okay with him being gay. They’re well known and his dad a well known actor, so that could contribute to him wanted to be closeted (if he is).

I mean this is nice and all, but gossip circles and rumours should absolutely not be any standing bedrock.

The ones about what Chris has actually made some mention of in interviews like the concept of sexual fluidity and disliking labels are endlessly more evidential to me than what some gossipmonger has to say.

I’d love for Chris to be lgbt oriented, I enjoy him and additionally his presence would be amazing for our community. At most I’ll consider him bicurious and/or heteroflexible unless he makes a direct statement about his sexuality or openly shows himself to have a same-sex relationship or dalliance at least once.

That said, I don’t try to look at a Rorschach and try to impose my perceptions of it to be full reality, and I advise no one else do so either.

Those pictures of him alone are incredibly funny and yet very stupid, is it gay fashion or bad fashion? 🤣
 Anton!
Totally agree. I think it’s mostly bad fashion. He dresses so strangely. I’ve seen comments that he dresses like a lesbian, and Chris himself said that someone (his manager maybe?) told him he looked like Jennifer Aniston with his long hair and that’s why he cut it. Hah. It’s almost like he tries so hard to be fashionable, but it doesn’t really work. The hottest I’ve see him in when he’s in regular clothes like jeans and a sweater or workout clothes. Normal stuff.

A couple other bits of circumstantial evidence: Very early in his career he played a flamboyant gay character who did drag in an indie (Surrender Dorothy). Not that it proves anything, but if he's straight he was unusually confident about risking being pigeonholed in that kind of role. And on some talk show I saw him tell a story about being chased and hugged by a fan who was a burly bear dressed in a jockstrap for the Folsom Street Fair.
