Some updates:

1) The vast majority of respondents think that a circumcised penis is more hygienic (perhaps especially as it is easier to wash and keep clean): for now we are 71% in favor of circumcision.
2) On the other hand, opinions are opposed regarding sex: for various reasons, 57% are in favor of the uncircumcised penis.
3) As far as the last point of the survey, being the most subjective since we are talking about aesthetic preferences, there is almost a parity: in any case, the circumcised penis would win slightly with 52% of the votes.

I don't think the cut version is easier to wash. Yeah, uncut takes more handling but it is a no brainer. Where it is "harder" is that the uncut male in locker room showers (if they ever come back) may have to fight onset of erection more since his penis requires more handling. (retrcating foreskin fully does have sexual sensations o you have to fight off dirty thoughts.
Where the cut has advantage is that it stayes cleaner in underwear, doesn't catch urine under foreskin to stink the area under foreskin etc.

Nice thread - interesting comments. Obviously, I am uncut - wanted to be cut as a child and parents would not agree - THANKS Mom and Dad. Being of Italian background, it's a family tradition.

Often, even in this forum, we see debates about circumcision. Obviously everyone has their opinion: many consider the circumcised penis better, others love how nature made us and therefore also the foreskin. Beyond the beliefs of each, almost always, leaving aside the discussion about the legitimacy of neonatal circumcision (which in fact does not interests me now), we go to write about three themes: sex, hygiene and aesthetic appearance. Here, I wanted to summarize them and do a sort of survey. For each of these topics, without considering regardless your status as the best, I ask you to answer the survey if an uncircumcised or circumcised penis is preferable. The answers will obviously be the result of your experiences, ideas, nation of birth, etc.

Since the spaces for the answers in the survey are rather limited, I have only put some references. The full answers (partly the result of some justifications found online), which are very general and perhaps ridiculous or idiotic, can be read below:

1A) Hygiene - Circumcised is better because penis is easier to wash and still remains clean and odor-free for longer;
2B) Hygiene - Uncircumcised is preferable because, aside from the fact that washing it is not so complicated, the glans remains protected and does not dry out;
2A) Aesthetics - Circumcised is better because having the glans always exposed and visible is more beautiful;
2B) Aesthetics - Uncircumcised is preferable because, apart from the fact that there is no scar, with flaccid penis is more beautiful that the glans is covered;
3A) Sex - Circumcised is better because, leaving aside that since there is no skin or frenulum, you can theoretically (easily) thrust deeper, having the glans always exposed it could be less sensitive and bring to orgasm less quickly;
3B) Sex - Uncircumcised is preferable because, given the presence of the foreskin which is sensitive, there is (initially) less friction and is enjoyed more overall;

Take this initiative of mine as an attempt to discuss, for the umpteenth time, the subject of circumcision in a slightly different way than usual...

I find it interesting that in the survey the "cut" votes are always above "uncut"
It seems to be an American way of voicing the choice but as "cut" is always before "incut" it might give the idea that "cut" is the norm and "uncut is secondary. Whilst understanding that in the vernacular "cut" and "uncut" might easy I have always liked "natural" and "circumcised" indicating that the natural state is how we are born.
There are many threads about hygiene/cleanliness etc. All I can say is anyone is very welcome, at any time, without notice, to come and smell, taste or touch my natural cock and I believe would be quite happy that the smell,taste and touch is just fine.

I think they are exaggerated/extreme cases. I got cut at 21 with no underlying medical conditions and mine never looked as smooth as his uncut examples before, nor anywhere as dry/rough as his cut examples six years down the road. The change in glans texture, for me at least, is marginal. Yes, it is drier now by virtue of the fact that my glans is permanently exposed now, but adding lube/vaginal secretions to it makes it smooth and shiny. Yes, it was more moist before, but keeping it retracted for 30 minutes made it comparably dry to how it normally is now. Whether your cock head is wet or not determines what it looks, to the most extent, I feel. Since sex almost always involves some form of lubrication, I’d say what it looks like when soft and not having sex is less relevant.

I must have got the poison ivy oil on my hand, then peed, then washed my hands when I came in from the garden because I didn't get it anywhere but my dick and foreskin. I'm 99% better but what an awful experience it's been, only moderately physically painful but very traumatic. I really sympathize with anyone having a foreskin problem.

You got poison ivy last summer and you are only now 99% better? It only takes about 7-10 days for it to completely go away. I got it so bad one time and it was only a memory by the end of 2 weeks.

There are no very effective drugs for the post initial rash dermatitis of poison ivy, contrary to what people think. Cortisone cream is not very effective, is short term use only especially on the genitals because of the property of thinning the skin, and when it leads to a urinary tract infection or bladder infection it can cascade into a long term problem. I'm allergic to diphenhydramines so I couldn't take them. Does that address your doubts?

Not really. I had it on some very tender places including my dick. I was given a steroid shot, told to soak 2x/day in Aveno Bath and water as hot as I could stand, and that is all. It was completely gone by the 10th day. I have had it since and did nothing and it be totally gone in 2 weeks on its own.

My sister has had what she thought was poison ivy that would not go away and it turned out to be an allergic reaction to Mango fruit. She was eating it almost daily and did not realize. So, maybe you are doing something else to continue to cause your problem?

I have only been circumcised for about 25 years and therefore know both "states".
For hygiene, a circumcised penis is better in my opinion. I now know all the arguments, there is water everywhere, you can wash yourself. I also did that when I still had a foreskin and still my penis smelled unpleasant after 5-6 hours and it collected a lot of smegma under the foreskin. I still wash my circumcised penis regularly.
During sex, my very long foreskin bothered me because it still covered the glans with protrusion even during erection. That is now worlds better. Despite my "blunted" glans, I feel significantly more, it gives me more satisfaction.
Aesthetically: even a very small penis looks better without a foreskin than a larger one with a shriveled foreskin. If the foreskin only partially covers the glans and the tip or more of the glans is visible, I think it's fine, but a free glans looks best.

That's the thing with these circumcision/cut v uncut debates. It's always someone pushing something to the extreme. You could think "I don't think a cut penis is really that different." and then someone will come in and scream about "scarred dick with extremely dry head" but… that's not everyone's experience. And not every uncut dick has perfectly smooth "moist" skin like in those photos. There are billions of penises in the world… to think that there is no possible way for a cut penis to be smooth (and vice versa for an uncut penis) comes off like someone who hasn't seen a cut penis themselves.
The angling of it as a "just a US thing" is also funny. Other nations like South Korea have high circumcision rates as well.
