Circumcision questions

Rewording yet again. I was circumcised when I was three months premature and I find it so hard to believe that a doctor would even attempt that.... Given that sometimes they lie on the medical reports to get circumcision kick backs, it makes me question that... I thought aposthia (posted a thread about that from that angle and it was misinterpretated) or some other defect due to prematurity.

Was anyone on the board circumcised this early?

Next question, how long would a circ take to heal when done at this stage (ei, no longer needing to care for it).

Maybe I won’t be deleted this time.

I'm Confused???????? Your album shows that you have an uncut penis.
I restore also. It doesn’t help in finding my answer. Some stuff hasn’t changed, like the vast amount of underskin (relative to gains) and wideness of the sheath.

I’ve had a lot of people tell me that, even after clearly showing what I consider a circ scar when tightly pulled back. To be fair, given all the above, as well as a medical report that says I’m circumcised. When I was younger I had a “scarf” - lol - not the coverage you see now. I’m confused too. I just want to know what was done and if not done, what happened.

Don't know if you saw my earlier comment, but circing a premie is borderline malpractice. No justification what so ever. Healing would take about a week.
I agree. I had a very slim chance of survival, yet here we are. Thanks for replying and replying again. It really doesn’t help making me like what was done any better. It’s one of the reasons I’m trying to find out if it really happened, or not.

Well, you were obviously circumcised. In the unlikely event you were born aposthetic, you certainly would not have gotten cut. Offhand, I don't remember at what point in gestation the foreskin begins to form. And I can't believe anyone in the 1960s would have circed a premie. NICUs have come a very, very long way, but they weren't that barbaric in the 50s/60s/70s. Are you sure you weren't cut well after your pediatric crisis had passed?

I was born early 80s.

3 months premature, but 10 days later - according to reports. I was in the NICU for a month.

Even in Judaism, it's not allowed to have a brit milah on a preemie because of the medical implications. The procedure has to wait until the baby is old enough to go through it without any problems.
Guess 10 days but three months premature was thought to be adequate. Based the size and shape of a 3 month premature infant, even 10 days older seems crazy. I don’t even understand how they could even perform it reliably...

I was born premature and the doc wouldn't approve a circumcision. But I got it done at 19. A shame I had to wait so long.

Shame I have to live with something that shouldn’t have taken place. I didn’t ask whether you liked it or not, I suspect you knew that already though. Glad you were able to make that choice.

I was just giving you a data point. The doc didn't circumcize me and I agree that it shouldn't have been done to a premature baby.

Hey, I'm as pro circumcision as you can get, I would never, ever give medical consent to circumcise a premie. And I'm certain there isn't an ultra orthodox Jew out there who would disagree with me on this. It's just plain wrong.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not happy to see a consent form signed that said, no medical benefit and possible problems but the option shouldn’t have even been put on the table. Kids having kids. You rely on accurate information and the knowledge of your doctors. Not that you should be clueless about a natural state of the male body. I wouldn’t dream of surgically altering a future daughter because I think I know better....
